Meet the Founders

We’re Kaylee and Kyle—parents, partners, and the hearts behind Blooming Brave. Our foundation was born from our family’s own journey with our son Bennett, whose complex medical needs reshaped our lives and taught us what courage looks like in the everyday: long hospital nights, hard decisions, and the fierce, tender love that carries a family through them.

Along the way, we met countless parents just like us—strong, exhausted, determined—who needed more than a pamphlet or a pat on the back. They needed real help, a listening ear, and a community that wouldn’t let them feel alone. Blooming Brave exists for them: to offer practical support, connection, and hope to families of medically complex children.

Our roots are in Michigan, and our mission is simple: meet families where they are and help them bloom—one care package, one grant, one hospital visit, one brave story at a time. We believe love is a verb, community is medicine, and small acts can change a family’s hardest day.
